Uzbek delegation visits LALRG to exchange experiences

A delegation from Uzbekistan has visited Latvian Association of Local and Regional Governments (LALRG) on September 6th, 2016. The aim of the visit in Latvia is to exchange experiences and information on the local governance process, particularly regional and local development planning, cooperation and coordination between central and local governments, as well as public-private partnership in local development.

The meeting in the LALRG was only one stop in the overall delegation’s study visit in Latvia, and  delegation acknowledged it to be very valuable for their future work. Mr. Andris Jaunsleinis, the chairman of the LALRG, introduced the delegation with principles of the LALRG’s work, aspects of cooperation with the central government, Latvian system of local governments, administrative territorial reform and other questions of interest to the delegation.
