Participate at the webinar devoted to global citizenship education and development cooperation “Tell me your story” taking place at 09:00 – 13:00 (CET), Zoom! Register for the webinar here until 16 December!
In the beginning was the word. Words form sentences and then stories, but most importantly - the idea of storytelling is to celebrate life! At the webinar, the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia and the European Commission will present you with funding opportunities that could help your development cooperation and education idea to materialize in the real world next year, implementing it together with partners as a sustainable and beautiful activity.
The second, creative part of the seminar will be opened by a conversation with the Latvian writer Nora Ikstena - the author of books “Celebrating Life”, “Stories of Life” and many others translated also into Georgian and Ukrainian. Representatives from Georgia, France, the Netherlands and Slovenia will also tell, how to understand sustainable development and climate change without even noticing it: through colouring frescoes, participating at circus lessons or playing online games. The event will provide an opportunity to learn about the European Commission's new “Education for Climate” initiative, which will provide a platform for anyone interested in education on climate issues to find and share ideas for common activities and projects.
Our aim is to tell you stories about activities that have already taken place in European and development cooperation countries, so that you can use them for your future stories, new project ideas and joint activities between local authorities in the European Union and the Eastern Partnership countries. The interesting narratives will be complemented by videos about the activities implemented.
The event is organized by the Latvian Association of Local and Regional Governments in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, Ogre City Council and PLATFORMA.
